Datenmassiv AI: the European alternative to ChatGPT Business
Datenmassiv AI is an AI workspace for companies that want what their teams like about ChatGPT, under a contract the business can stand behind. AI models run in EU regions by default, models from several providers sit under one login, and the tools go beyond chat to cover recurring work.
Datenmassiv AI comes with a guided start.

Which platform fits the job?
ChatGPT Business is OpenAI’s plan for companies, built on OpenAI’s own models. Three questions decide between the two: where the AI models run, who you sign the contract with, and whether your team needs more than a chat window.
| Criterion | ChatGPT Business | Datenmassiv AI |
|---|---|---|
| Tools | Chat with projects, deep research, workspace agents, data analysis, record mode and Codex; connectors for Google Workspace, Slack, GitHub, Microsoft 365 and other services. | Chat, knowledge bases, document chat, six specialist agents with a team lead, workflows, transcription and website chatbots; Microsoft 365 read-only. |
| Models | OpenAI models. | Models from Anthropic, Google and OpenAI. |
| Where AI runs | Data storage region can be selected, rolling out gradually according to OpenAI. The choice does not determine where requests are processed. | EU regions by default; DATENMASSIV GmbH enables models outside the EU only at your organization’s request. |
| Contract | With OpenAI, including a data processing agreement (DPA). | DPA with DATENMASSIV GmbH in Ulm, Germany. |
| Price (as of Oct 15, 2026) | $20 per user per month billed annually, $25 billed monthly, minimum of two seats (standard seat). | €24 or €39 per user per month, excl. VAT, including agents, workflows and transcription; website chatbots as a separate pack. |

When your team needs more than a chat
Chat is the obvious place to start. Once your own documents, recurring processes or meetings come into play, what matters is whether the tools for them sit under the same login and the same contract. In Datenmassiv AI, chat, knowledge bases, agents, workflows and transcription share the same roles and the same data processing agreement.
From meeting to follow-up
Your team records a project meeting in the browser. Transcription labels who said what and writes a summary with decisions and next steps. That summary goes straight into a workflow that takes care of the follow-up.
Every answer from your documents cites its source.
Ask in plain language. The answer points to the passage in your documents it came from, so your team can check it right there. In workflows, an approval step pauses the process until someone on your team signs off, and every agent run can be reviewed step by step.
What to clarify before you decide.
- Which documents and systems does your team rely on? Check that exactly these data sources are supported to the extent you need.
- Which answers and approvals have to be traceable? Try the tools on a real use case of your own.
- Where is your data processed in the configuration you choose? Clarify regions, permissions and what the contract covers.
- What will your actual usage cost? Factor seats, usage and setup into the quote.
In Datenmassiv AI, AI models run in EU regions by default. DATENMASSIV GmbH enables models outside the EU only at your organization’s request. One data processing agreement covers the whole platform.
See how we handle data protection and operationsWhen is Datenmassiv AI a better fit than ChatGPT Business?
When the AI models should run in the EU, when you want models from more than one provider, and when your team works with its own documents, processes and meetings, not just chat. If a chat is all you need and OpenAI as your only provider works for you, ChatGPT Business may be enough.
